This invitation-only event provides prospective fund managers an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of starting and operating a cryptocurrency fund in a question-and-answer format. The workshop will provide answers to frequently asked questions surrounding the regulation, structure, tax, terms, and capital-raising issues faced by emerging cryptocurrency fund managers.

John S. Lore | Managing Partner | Capital Fund Law
John Lore is the Managing Partner of Capital Fund Law Group. John has spent his legal career focused on advising emerging fund managers and has answered investment fund legal questions from over one-thousand emerging investment fund managers in nearly every state in the US and throughout the world. He has formed more cryptocurrency funds than nearly any attorney in the world.
Mr. Lore advises investment fund sponsors on all aspects of their business, from capital raising and fund formation to implementation of their business models. His representation of a broad range of asset managers allows him to keep abreast of emerging trends. Prior to founding Capital Fund Law Group, Mr. Lore practiced corporate and securities law at a number of law firms, including in the private securities practice group, resident in the New York City and Moscow offices, of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, one of the largest international law firms in the world.
Beth-ann Roth | Partner | Capital Fund Law
Beth-ann Roth has extensive experience in securities and investment management law, corporate governance and impact investing. She has represented clients before the SEC and state securities regulators, and has provided legal, operations and compliance guidance to funds, investment advisers, broker-dealers, transfer agents, economic development organizations and their service providers. She has assisted clients with a full range of services, including organization, fund formation, registrations, disclosure documentation, compliance program development and maintenance, SEC inspections, mergers and reorganizations.
Prior to joining Capital Fund Law Group, Ms. Roth served on the staff of the SEC, as Associate General Counsel of a multi-billion dollar Washington, DC area investment fund complex, and as Deputy General Counsel of an international financial development organization. She was a member of the Investment Funds and Investment Companies practice group at Dechert, LLP, one of the world’s largest investment fund practices, and held positions at other AmLaw 100 law firms. Ms. Roth has also been an associate professor at George Washington University Law School, and a registered lobbyist on Capitol Hill.
Peter Kirby | Blockchain Executive
Peter Kirby is a blockchain executive and long time entrepreneur. He co-founded Factom and launched a successful token sale in 2015 with a market cap of $500+ million. Peter has also founded a blockchain hardware manufacturer, a neurochemistry product company, and a real estate development firm. He has a degree in Biochemistry from Lehigh University, and an MBA in Entrepreneurship from the Acton School of Business. Peter practices laughter yoga and hosts elaborate dinner parties.

Bushra Hamid is a successful cryptocurrency investor. She is the co-Founder and President of the Harvard Blockchain Group, the first blockchain organization at Harvard University, where she is an undergraduate student studying . Bushra oversees the activities and structuring of committees for over 300+ students who have joined the organization.
Busrha co-founded the National Muslim Women's Summit, an annual conference in collaboration with the Harvard Kennedy School, which is fully funded and endorsed by several organizations that invites young leaders to embark on a year-long leadership fellowship targeting their communities.
Bushra has been active in politics, as an advisory council member to Texas State Representative Ed Thompson, and Congressman Pete Olson. Bushra was featured in London-based radio podcast to discuss her story regarding the immigration ban and the election. She was asked by TIMES Higher Education to write her story regarding the immigration ban and election. (available here).
